E-cigarettes

Size and Shape

Most electronic cigarettes take an overall cylindrical shape (15mm). Common components include a liquid delivery and container system - the atomizer, and a power source - the battery. These electronic cigarettes are composed of replaceable and rebuildable parts. Ego/Evod batteries use a 510 thread (14mm) for attaching the atomizer to the battery.

Power

E-cigs contain a rechargeable battery, which tends to be the largest component.

The battery uses a power button that must be held during operation - for taking puffs. An LED is used to indicate activation and power supply. All batteries are charged via USB - but styles vary significantly.

Original Evod batteries must be charged by connecting the usb charger to their tops, while the more popular variable voltage Evod U2 batteries may be charged on both ends.

Along with the battery, the atomizer or clearomizer is the central component of any
e-cig. Many kinds and designs are in use - above is the traditional CE series tank style. They are responsible for vaporizing the e-liquid.

E-Liquid or Juice

Liquid for producing vapor in electronic cigarettes, commonly known as e-juice or e-liquid, is a solution of propylene glycerine (PG) or vegetable glycerine (VG), it is mixed with a choice of concentrated flavors; and optionally, a variable concentration of nicotine ~ from 0mg to 34mg. These solutions come in a dropper-style bottle.

There is no tobacco or smoke smell but the delivery of nicotine feels the same as the vapor is inhaled like a traditional cigarette.
